Introduction
BOBs 2002 and BOBs 2004 have come and gone. Champions have risen and fallen and losers have continued to lose.
The city of Newcastle was chosen as a location for the weekend (obviously due to its culture and history) with the Quality Hotel chosen as a place for the weary golfers to rest their heads. Two clubs in the posh part of Newcastle were chosen to host the prestigious championship during the first weekend of September 2005.
Pre-match favourites
The 2005 tournament pits the winners from 2002 (Dan) and 2004 winner and reigning BOBs champ (Ben) in a champions of champions style clash. The hot money before the weekend was on "golf society" Daz who has had more rounds than a milkman this year in preparation for the Newcastle trip.
The Stag
The weekend was a dual purpose one. Ian Bentley, a BOB golfer of 2002 pedigree is to be wed. The weekend would serve as a stag weekend for Ian before he embarks on his long journey of married life. Most people would have two weekends of fun, but Dan was to tight to fly over from New York twice.
So far north many had nose bleeds.
