BOBs Golf Weekend 2004

Intoduction

BOBs 2002 seemed a very very long time ago as a new streamlined BOBs golfing elite headed for the Irish capital and infamous party town of Dublin. The reason that it felt so long was that the reigning loser, Russell "Ricky" Clements had completely failed to organise anything in that time. Scott stepped up taking control with the booking hotel rooms and flights. Golf courses were selected and everything was looking good, apart from the weather which was looking like it may cause trouble for people who don't enjoy getting wet for fun.

The competition was wide open. Four of the top five from last time out were absent and this included the current champion Dan who was on the wrong side of the pond. The new boy of Darren "I like to lie" Morris was installed as favourite and was joined by fellow new boy and unknown golfing force of Rich "Irish" Brady to bring the number of the group up to eight. Game on ...

The fine team of golfers in attendance is listed below:

  • Ben "Quietly confident" Insull
  • Kieron "not had enough lessons" Martin
  • Russell "Ricky the Bandit" Clements
  • James "Larry don't hit your trolley" Grayson
  • Scott "Do lost balls count?" Lewis
  • Alan "Textbook stance" Jelliss
  • Darren "Bookies favourite" Morris
  • Richard "haven't played for 12 years" Brady
